MARCH 14, 2020- Mike Ethridge – Images of Anima

Mike Ethridge Faces of the Anima

In collaboration with our presenter, the CJS Board has decided to postpone Faces of the Feminine with Mike Ethridge, which was planned for Saturday from 5 – 7 pm at Gage Hall.

This event will be offered at a later date and when the date is set we will publicize it widely.

Mike has a great presentation planned, and we want to share it with as many people as possible.  While postponing is a huge disappointment for now, we know many who would normally attend will choose not to because of potential risk to health.  We think this decision will ultimately allow more people to attend rather than less.

Thank you to those of you who purchased a ticket in advance. We are working to have all tickets refunded via Paypal shortly. If you have any questions, please contact us by email: or, if need be, by phone: (843) 343-3136.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.  We wish you well and look forward to seeing you when the time is right!

Faces of the Feminine—A Journey in Search of Soul
In this multi-media presentation, photographer and filmmaker, Mike Ethridge, will explore how art can be a mechanism for healing the deep wound created by our cultural denigration of the feminine. Mike will share some of what he learned about himself during his two year odyssey to capture a variety of images of the archetypal feminine and how honoring the transforming aspects of the feminine can open us to new potentials and the cultivation of new life—a task particularly challenging for adult men who tend to be overly invested in their outer lives. Finally, through the exploration of the Jungian concepts of projection, integration and complex identification, Mike will examine how his pursuit of photography as an art form has aided his exploration of the unconscious and his own journey toward individuation.

Mike Ethridge has been a student of Jungian psychology for the last decade and a half. He is one of the founding members of the Charleston Jung Society, and the first president of this organization.
In addition to wedding and special-event filmmaking, Mike is a full time trial lawyer, with a career that spans over 3 decades. Mike’s approach to the practice of law (and the management of his law firm) has been significantly influenced by Jung’s work—particularly the call to support others in their quest to live more meaningful lives. Mike is the founding chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Attorney Wellness Committee, a frequent speaker on the issue of attorney well-being and has received recognition from both the South Carolina Bar and the American Bar Association for his work in that area.
